  • Low Sulfur and corn

Good Morning - I am posting up a link to a paper wrote by Dr. Jim Camberato out of Purdue - I did participate is a full field study with this year - amazing results - for sure - I first noticed low S back 4 years ago and have added S with a 2x2 along with 28 % at planting - It helped - yet I was still seeing low S in the corn but not as bad - then I got a call from Dr. Bob Nielsen and Jim to do a full field study - eye opening - to say the least ! It is a true joy to work with these 2 guys - They call us -- cooperators - But I think more on it as Summer School - School starts early - most times - from now on and ends at harvest of the plot . I would highly - highly - recommend that if given the chance - or just call your local land grant school and participate in these studies - you will be happy you did .

Thanks to Jim Camberator and Bob Nielsen

I will try and post up my own - full field results for you to see - to me - it was a very aggressive plot - with apps at V3 --- Split V-3 and V-12 and V-12 only + the check strips with No S applied .

Here is the findings for over all plots - enjoy

The "cooperator" didn't make it easy.... lol

I mentioned that to one of our extension agents several years ago, cooperating meant you didn't get rapped...

Thanks Ken, those of us who have worked with extension and universities realize how much time and effort can get put into these plots.
