Me explaining it usually garners little results, everything revolves round her schedule, livestock requires you to revolve around theirs.

He showed a gelbvieh and balancer heifer, our cattle are a little to old fashioned in the power and muscle dept typical of the gelbvieh side, and not enough of the typey angus look. but it was good experience for him.

Glad you made the trip OK Vil. I'm sure your son will remember this trip for the rest of his life. It's good the weather semi cooperated, I was afraid it might not. Maybe catch you next time through.

It was cold as hell, felt sorry for the guys who had cattle on the yards, (pens of 3 and 5 bulls), otherwise the hill facility wasn't bad. Glad to have the temps warm up for a bit though.

On the way home we took I-70, then picked up 383 back to norton. If all else, at least there are some facilities along the way in Co. compared to the 36 drive.

Unless it snows I would take the yards anytime over the hill. I hated being in that stuffy, dusty, coffin all day long. Besides when your in the yards you can close up shop earlier and go up to the hill bar and watch the poor suckers feed, tie out, and do stalls while you drik and eat peanuts!
