Aye roger7, that's the way it's been for all our lifetime. Only thing you missed is that the congresscritters have enabled a dependant class to make more generations of govt. dependants, since LBJ's war on poverty. The takers now outnumber the makers at the polls.

As to me holding 2012 corn, I'm gambling on a rally come March-April. If that fails, I accept full responsibility for my failure to read the crystal ball correctly.

    2012 Corn : 65 % sold
    2012 Soybeans: 100% sold
    2013 Corn: 7% sold
    2013 Soybeans: 11 % sold

All sales have been straight cash sales as I don't know how to use the futures market yet. I'm only 65% sold on 2012 corn and I won't sell any until Feb/Mar as we decide 2013 crop acres. As for the 2013 Crop, I decided to contract some NC corn as it is about .50 more than last year at this time and the NC beans are about 1.25-1.5 more than a year ago at this time.

DF: You crack me up. If you're going to have a Marketing Thread with daily commentary, it's going to get long. Do you really think people click Pg1 every time they log in? Most ag sites would die for such a popular thread. It cracks me up how GP then Bins and now you...who DNJ about marketing...always do this for no other reason than to have your name on the thread. You sure don't know anything about marketing grain and not much better in milk either.

Who cares about what other sites think? None of them have the success of AW.

Start a "Marketing OC and NC For 2013" and then leave it alone and quit trying to screw up a good deal.

Well first off, what IS screwing this up is your post! Secondly, I am pretty certain I am a better milk marketer than you. Still waiting for you to do it and show us what you have done and the outcome.

Now on this marketing thread. I noticed ECI was posting in marketing over at the other site. He likes the fact that it is short and to the point. No having to go back and look through 30 pages to find something that was said 1 week ago. Others have said the same about the marketing thread here. Thought maybe it would be good to try and have a little different format to maybe attract some new and different posters. But I will leave it to YOU, TAS and IN555 to do whatever you please..........

I could really care less who's f ucking name is on it as the thread starter. Who cares. Oh and you better start the 2013 Marketing New and Old Crop thread...... cause you said "I DNJ about marketing corn" and "only want my name on it"...... but then YOU tell me to start the "2013 Marketing New and Old crop"???? Talk about talking outta both sides your mouth. You want it started, start it.

I could really y care less who's name is on any thread,we're here to learn not keep count...
I've been posting on Ag Talk, quite a few good charts guys over there and do things differently then I,I can kinda follow it but really DKJ what their doing, its just different then what i am used to.
Personally I like the long marketing thread, its seem easier to go back a few months to find something your looking for. At AT even a thread from a week ago is hard to find and have to scroll though pages..

SIF yes 555 has been doing well and more aggressive selling then my self,,,plus I lifted my corn hedges .07 ago and his are still in place.....

I had a really good year 2012 in my hedge account but 13 didn't start worth a chit,,,,,got stopped out early last night on Nat Gas for a 1k loss and bought ZW @ 7.622 this morning and that's not looking to good right now ! ! !

So whether you don't DKJ or whether you do know Jack WHO CARES just post your thoughts !!!!!!!!!

Like right now in the few minutes I've been typing wheat looks to be making a very good stance at last May's spike high,,,my stop is right under there...

DF: You don't have to worry about me screwing up the marketing thread. I'm not posting anything in marketing until SD is banned for slandering me and YOU removed as a Moderator for letting him do it. I used to put a lot of work into it. Now, I kind of enjoy just DFA. lol.
