HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. Wishing you and yours good health, plenty for the table, and good friends.

On that friends thing- I propose a toast- "Champaign for our real friends and real pain to our cham (false) friends".

If you ever use that toast- looking around the room to see who suddenly has a problem swallowing when they realize what the toast means is very educational.

Jab, Happy New Year to you. I am thinking that the "toast" would be better with a little coffee this morning.

My family always celebrated the New Year at midnite with a meal of sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and pork, and mom would always put a penny under our plates for good luck and prosperity. Last nite Peeler and I went to a neighbors for a euchre party which included plenty of food and drink, but NO sauerkraut!!

Percy: Happy New Year to you. If we don't have another drought...with 99 mil A of corn (Informa)...you're going to have $4 corn alright...possibly even with a "3" in front of it. That's the good news...for you. The bad news is milk will come down proportionately. Can you make it on 16...14...12...11 milk??? Oh sure you can. The DSP guarantees you a $4 margin. But, of course you subsidy hating...pro free market...t i t t y pullers won't take it. JHF. Happy New Year.
