It's boring here tonight...just got home from a bachelor party for a neighbor "boy"...the dancers got there, but after
the first couple performances, I needed to get for home...before they started picking on the "older" three of us...and
the girls, well, paper sacks were NOT handy...AND they had to keep the lights on full power so you could see the dancers!
anyway glow...you meant the article on the road kill?
In this county, they have a call list of parties who either will dress out what they can and use it themselves, their family, or
give it to others.
That isn't going to be punishment unless the thugs are vegetarians

Perhaps we could feed some of that feral pig meat to the prisoners, tell them it's chicken.

Dang glow, the local hog hunters pay good money to go out of state to shoot a hog, and then bring the meat back and
claim it's good>
Not very far from a pole dance expert, but I don't know what he has to say about what it tastes like..
this response could be the result(s) of the party last night..Last edited by dennis1; 03-22-2013 at 07:48 AM.

I caught me a thief one time. Back about 1979 or so on Veterans Day. Brother saw them running out back as he pulled into the farm. He called me at work and then the cops. I went into the house and found my 30-30 they had missed(i had it laying on the floor in an upstairs bedroom covered with a blanket. Drove dodge dart out into soybean stubble with a top dressing of mud. Brought the thief back to the house. I caught the one that went west and left him with my brother and here came a cop that i knew and i spotted a chevy truck that kept driving by. We got her as the driver and they wouldn't let me go after the other guy.
Eventually they took them in and then let them go because they said i committed more crimes than the thieves for bringing him back at gunpoint.“Whatever you do, strive to do it so well that no man living and no man dead, and no man yet to be born can do it any better.”

You're correct 4450, there's things you can do and things you can't.
You can't shoot someone just because they're walking out of your shed stealing your tools.
You can tell them to freeze and hit the dirt and wait for deputies to get there. But if they run away, you can't shoot them in the back.
You can only shoot to protect yourself if they come at you threatening you, or if they try to run you over with their vehicle. If they're coming at you, you shoot to kill, not maim. Target T.
If their driving away from you in their vehicle, again you cannot shoot. You are limited to defending yourself. Of course if your gun accidently goes off shooting out one of their tires, it would be hard to find a jury to convict you for that accidental shooting.
That accident would slow their escape down considerable. You would then follow at a safe distance while letting the deputy know their position for intercept.
We're going to see more of these rural thefts as the economy continues to sux, druggies want to feed their habits, and young people aren't taught any morals, respect for private property.

Well, got 'er done. Thieves #3 and #4 were convicted and sentenced. Jail time for all (I wanted that so my persistence was rewarded). Word will get around town not to muck with me. (TommyEx probably believes I wanted to shoot someone?? Well I do understand why they lynched thieves in the old West, a much more efficient system of justice).
Actually had one of the public defenders apologize to me afterward. He felt bad for having to do his job of defending his client.
This made for an interesting and long winter (oh.............it is a long winter). I figure that if more people stood up and stopped that revolving door liberal justice system where crooks, druggies, etc. just get a slap on the wrist, some meaningless probation, and they're out re-offending again and again, it makes a difference.
Well guys, be prepared, the obummer Depression economy is getting worse. There will be more thefts, be prepared to defend your families, all the signs point to TSHTF.
