I mostly believe we need to leave private lives alone and private. I like to get a feel for each poster here simply from what they choose to contribute here.
Despite the above- It seems to me that when a poster here is constantly boasting about personal wealth they will likely end up having someone dig in to see if the facts fit the boasts. The bigger the brag and the more annoying the opinion while using lots of personal stuff that is posted in support of the discussion/opinion/boast- the more likely someone is going to do some fact checking.
ICF repeated some stuff that was evidently not true and used this info in support of lots of his posts here. To me, over the years, his persona here went from a somewhat boastful farm operator to an overly arrogant farm operator to a farm manager who sprinkled in enough lies that it calls everything he has ever posted about his operation into question. As I have never/ever met an individual that typically sells near the top and buys at the bottom, I was already questioning the truthfullness of his posts. Due to this I was discussing less and less with him as time went on. The expose was just confirming some things I was already wondering. If the guy is clearly a braggart and fibs about the big stuff, how much of what he posts is worth consideration????????????
