The last paragraph of that article says a mouth full..he talks about this wall we will hit eventually...I know hes talking about running out of fossil fuels(dont think it will happen)...the wall that is in clear sight now is the earth warming and causing wild storms and glacier melting...FACT...the Democrats are wanting to continue investing in renewable fuels..all the above...big oil is in the drivers seat with their lobbiest and they will fight this to the end...why continue to give subsidies to an old technology that can stand on its own...the GOP has this DRILL DRILL DRILL mentality that they are campaigning on...fact is we are doing just that...matter of fact here in a few years we will be the No 1 producer...but then we export most of it after we dump the externalities all over cancer alley and beltch all that carbon right down our lungs...but hey its the FREE market right...ask those folks down in cancer ally how free they think it is...there would be plenty of companies ready to invest in green energy if they had faith that the big oil lobbiest wouldnt cut thier throats and run them out of town like they are trying to do with ethenol

Not really. I imagine that the air quality in large cities can be unhealthy. Also downstream from coal powered electrical generation plants especially in the past. I would not want to live there either.
We have a President that "wanted" our electrical bills to skyrocket. Another one in his administration " wanted" gasoline to be very expensive. That kind of talk poisons the debate...just like any talk about Social Security became for the Democrats a wild scare that granny was going to be pushed over the cliff in her wheelchair. Also about any storm is bait for pushing schemes for taxing energy.
Whether there is any real danger from warming, the atmosphere has been poisoned by, "The science is settled." I don't really know just what is going on. It seems that Anarctica is growing ice and that the northern Arctic could be losing ice. Still, I don't trust the placing of temperature sensors because of the agenda.

That's pretty much the DNC standard response there Barry. Here we go again with another, brag of "USA is producing more and more oil, as it does usually when a Dem is president, and has the capacity to produce even more." Hear that everyday from the Dems. It's a ploy to get people worried about pollution.
We hear the exact opposite from the Repubs, "What people need to hear loud and clear is we are running out of energy in america." George W Bush May 2001.

Bankrupt DoE grant recipient A123 got almost a million dollars from the Obama adminstration’s green-tech stimulus on the same day it filed for bankruptcy — a bankruptcy driven by $55 million in liabilities for producing defective battery packs, no less:
Battery maker A123 Systems received a $946,830 check from the U.S. Department of Energy the same day it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, according to a letter released by two Republican senators who say the Obama administration is funding failed clean-energy companies.
Republican Sens. Charles Grassley of Iowa and John Thune of South Dakota on Friday released a Wednesday letter from Eric Pyenson, A123 vice president and general counsel. …
A123 filed for bankruptcy protection last month after saying it would have to spend $55 million to replace defective battery packs that forced start-up electric-car maker Fisker Automotive, also a recipient of U.S. assistance, to recall its $100,000-plus Karma electric car.
Want more good news? A123 may end up getting even more taxpayer cash despite its bankruptcy:
The Waltham, Mass.-based company with plants in Livonia and Romulus also said it may seek additional payments from a $249.1-million Energy Department grant awarded in 2009. A123′s Oct. 16 check was the latest payment as part of the original grant, which is distributed periodically as the company meets certain benchmarks.
==================Nothing wrong with fossil fuels. Low cost, portable and we have a lot of resources to develop. What we now have is yet another 4 years of alternative energy boondoggles with the Chicago Machine corruptocrats pizzing away more taxpayer dollars.
