Natty, I do read your stuff. Last couple of nights have been good. Friday we had a party for those who worked on celebration of WWII vets when we honored them with a nice party who worked to put it on. We did host over 400 WWII vets. It was a great time in honoring several of them. Last night, Natty, was the great time as my father and wife had gone to same Cancer clinic. Jason Motte's wife and he hosted an auction for the West Clinic their Wings Foundation. Wings takes care of research and those without coverage. I did not realize the connections with the family that Jason married into in Memphis. They really had great memorabilia and bought an authenticated autographed Troy Tulowiske ball for son in law in Laramie as have attended a couple of Rockies games. A friend bought signed autographed bat by David Freese and one by Allen Craig, a couple of autographed caps, some jewelry and $355 for Matt Holliday's autographed All Star jersey. Bill Self's autographed KU logoed basketball went for more than Josh Pastner's (coach of Memphis) autographed basketball. They had stuff from all of the teams They auctioned Rafael Furcal and Carlos Beltran autographed jerseys from the all star game in live auction. They had a duck hunting trip with Jason and 4 tickets for a 3 game series with the Cubs next year in section 160 and hotel rooms. The best was a 1946 jersey of the Cardinals signed by Stan Musial which only went for $1600 but an 8 yo kid was fronting for father so wants to act like Scrooge to the kid. My wife went a bit ballistic as they auctioned Jason's jersey from first game in Marlins Park to open the season after winning the WS. This was not well attended with only a couple of hundred and mostly younger and wife set her mind to get it. They opened the bidding at $2k. Nobody bid and he started at $500 the auctioneer. I was back talking to Jason's mother in law and telling her that we at least got the bid to $1300. My wife got it and $1700 and Jason is going to personalize it. Jason is a great guy. WE told Jason since giving it to Nathan do not know what he wants. We did not buy it for return. Jason and Caitlin gave us their home telephone number to bring it over when he decides on personalizing. The jersey is in gold thread and worn by Jason as he attested. We got it cheap. It would have gone for plus $5 at Legends Camp. I told Jason that I would like him to get it signed by wife and father's oncologist as well. Jason said he never washed it as did not have to go into game as Lohse pitched so well. Jason was humbled that his jersey went for more than Stan's. I told him he should be embarrassed. I told him how our pitcher in Legends game struck out Lou Brock and asked Bruce Sutter to get the ball signed. That guy was a dead man walking the rest of camp. You do not diss legends.

My friend who bought it from Moberly, Mo. as is his wife. Cardinals fans appreciate value and worth. Send me your address in pm and will get one of the pics signed by Jason. I told Jason the only time he ever was in the visiting bullpen at Autozone Park and first put on Cardinals in a preseason exhibition game. You might be interested as Jason talked very deferentially about LaRussa when asked by the mc Andy Wise. Jason is my wife's favorite ballplayer now. I talk them to the Legends reunion game at Busch this last August. They have silent auctions for memorabilia there as well. Cindy gets a big carried away. The Marine that is a friend from Mexico, Mo.
