    2012 is a normal year

By the time the year is over 2012 very well may not be listed as a drought year.

1.15 inches yesterday morning in the "super duper" guage
1.54 inches MORE in the guage this morning.

Only the temp can't be fudged as a slightly warm summer.

The yard has really greened up and will need to be shortened unless we decide to use it as a snow trap.

1.5" today. Actually had a month (September) with above average rainfall. First one since June of 2011. We can still walk acroos the creeks we used to fish in without getting mud on our shoes though. Still need about 10" of soaked in rainfall to bring the subsoil moisture back to normal.

Yea greenie got "fixed" but not in time to be of any help to me.

Almost got done Friday, 5ish acres left when I literally ripped the grain table off the throat of the combine.

Not something you want to see as an owner, operator, and chief mechanic.

Remarkable small amount of damage found so far. Will need to straighten or replace the head drive shaft under the throat before I can run the corn head.

Got most of the other damages straightened up then reinstalled and one more round and the rain came, now almost three inches of rain later.

Hope the beans will go tomorrow afternoon so I can fix or replace the shaft and start corn.
