    Looks like cow crap.

Two of my kids attend a private Christian high school. At the beginning of the year, the school followed the guidelines because the school was getting a subsidy. The hatred for the guidelines was so enormous both by the students and teachers that it was decided to refuse the subsidy. Now the kids are happy again and so is the head chef at the school!

Kiss our collective a$$es, Michele. And if you believe in forcing everyone to live a healthy lifestyle, how about telling your socialist husband to quit smoking?

    Congraates to the private school!

Problem with the public, is that they basically NEED the subsidy to be able to function as required by law...and
then to have a meal with less calories than what a weight watchers meal consists is beyond Michele's qualifications
    as a health promoter.
My other concern is, the school lunch is possibly the only meal some of the students get that could nearly meet their
daily requiremts, and the b i t c h takes that away from them.
The kids with enough money are bringing not healthy foods or snacks to school...backfired, another socialistic
government program shot from the "hip".

According to this in house authority...mmmmNOT...the cup would be broth, the upper left is veggy and potato, the top right
would be a split pea soup..and the lower right is collard greens...BUT she says different "colors" have different nutrients,
such as red, green, yellow, white, plenty of brown and green there...glad I didn't see that picture early this morning...gag
reflex is at it's weakest point then!

Me thunks maybe it could work out, if the "officials" practice what they preach, the officials might
not have a weight problem IF they follow their own guidelines, and no cheating!

I eat a lot of hummus and a lot of black beans... that is not what it looks like... well at least not what it is supposed to look like. Nothing on that plate even resembles it.

Looks to me like the upper left is mild fresh tomato salsa or something. The top right looks like beef in gravy and the bottom right looks like some sort of cooked leafy vegetable. Maybe it has hummus and beans inside the cooked leafy outside but that exterior does not look appetizing.

I ran a side business in high school of bringing in mc donalds when I came to school and selling it for 50-100% markup. It looks like today if I was in school business would be booming and I would have a tidy sum of money from a large base clientele.
