I think, both sides of partisans will see what they wanted in the debate. If you are a democrat Biden did well, if you are a republican Ryan did well. The question is about the independents, those unaffiliated with parties. Ryan was much calmer and in control early in the debate and Biden was kind of loose and flustered. As the debate moved along Biden got more control of himself. He slowed down his rate of speech. He emphasized his points more. He started to force his side. He lessened his stuttering, and thought stops such as "um" and "ah." Once he did all that he was able to start putting Ryan more on the defensive. Ryan definitely came across as more likeable, Biden as more passionate. This was as close to a tie as it could get. For some independents Biden's passion will be a problem as he sounded condescending and bullying at times while Ryan was cool calm and collected. Really this debate turned out to be more of a "How do you feel about Joe Biden?" than any thing else.

The moderator was quite good. Anyone bashing them is looking at it through their partisan eyes. She was equally tough on both candidates and was quite clear and precise with her questions.

The moderator allowed Biden to ramble on and on and on forever and interrupted Paul over and over every time he was just about to make a point... Plus she just kept asking for the math on his plan... there is no math and she didn't understand the concept but still kept interrupting.

Very hard to follow an explanation when you are interrupted over and over by jeering and laughter... biden should have been carried off kicking and screaming in a white jump suit as the heckler he was.

Last night actually heard comments from SOME media people calling it a draw !!!!!! WTF Biden made a laughing white teethed Baboon of him self

Biden is an embarrassment, and Ryan is even worse than Biden. Is this the best we can do in this country? We deserve these SOB's and we deserve what they will do to this country. Both debates "SUCKED"!!!!!!!! John
