Poor 'ol Red just can't get a break. It ran most of the afternoon except for the time I spent taking out a grate, backing up the rotor with the wrench then tightening the rotor belt that was smoked after I plugged it severely with green stem beans. I'd blame it on ECI but he called just as I was ready to throw it in gear and clean it out AFTER all of the above things. Got anther 500 bu done after eci's call.
The 9600 made five passes. Greenie is now waiting on a "house call" by the "vet".
I haven't told 'ol Red yet, but the visit from the neighbor across the fence from this field this afternoon wasn't a social call, he wants 'ol Red to combine his corn and beans too.
I baled a few bean straw bales this morning. Even after going through the chopper on the combine I raked each pass into a windrow and each 3/8th mile windrow made 3 bales with a 568 Deere baler.
Just a tremendous amount of material going through the combine.
