    ICF - it is clear that Ghost does not know that most of the land North of I-80 (north central & central) has a very, very high PH and is seldom limed and that is one of the reasons crops are so great up there in fact usually something is needed to bring the PH down to 7. It is only South of I-80 where we need to use lime to raise PH. because the soils are so acidic. John

    gypsum seems to help limit the effects of high ph. also high ph is a big reason there is so much corn on corn in gods country. or atleast c-c-b rotations.

    Gmart - I had included Gypsum in my post then erased it. I thought that was what was used to knock down high PH. I understand it was 15 degrees last night in Sioux City? Guess I can now start harvest! lol. John
