    SES, you're referring to EASTERN Wash., the Columbia River basin, which is officially a desert, but they have the water AND the heat. Those boys will chop 40+ ton/acre consistently, but that would be 110+ day corn. An interesting aside on that...they grow more fodder, but the starch/acre isn't any more than here.

    You guys must think that we're loaded w/bucks!!! The first pix posted was the custom guy that came in & opened our field. That was not our chopper or wagon. The next pix is our chopper & tractor & wagon. This was taken at sundown tonight--notice the Canadian Rockies in the background.

    Shoot I was going to ask why the corn was so short, it should be at least tassel high with the dump wagon
