    Infared tube heat requirements for shop

    Have 80x80x18 and am looking for recommendations for tube heat btu. requirements. 6in roof insulation 4in wall. Lattitude 39.33 Longitude 101.69 3800 ft. elevation.

    Could just tell us what state you're in. Or what nation. I'm sure the guy you get the heater from will know. Might want to look at one that burns used oil.

    I don't know the specs on our building, but was set up by the local furnace place. The guy is usuallly pretty sharp.
    However we can't get the temperature cool enough. I am afraid we will melt the gps globes on the row gators from being to close to the tubes.

    Sorry I didn't see how that looked, lol,, I'm northwest Kansas, the sites I was searching kept aksing longitude and latitude for specific heating requirements,, heaters will be hung at 20', should be high enough not to melt roofs?

    Check the plastic on the rowgator today. So far so good.

    alanks we have some chicken growers using the infrared heat in their houses doing real well with it you say your in north west Kansas how close are you COLBY that's getting in ses and dennis1 and 48 territory

    If ya look at a map of moisture levels in Kansas, the very northwest corner is still ok, so our wheat looks very good in our immediate area, but large areas to the south and east of us have spotty stands ect. We were also blessed with very good sub soil moisture levels at planting. Thats not to say we don't need additdional moisture to make a crop, we will, but still in decent shape here.
